Buk Ulreich (1884-1966) was an American muralist, painter, printmaker and illustrator. He was born at Koszeg in what is now Hungary and as a baby settled with his family in Kansas City. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and later worked as a cowboy in Arizona. After serving in World War 1 he painted murals, including for a studio in California, and later he worked on murals for the US Courthouse at Tallahassee in Florida. His work is held in the National Museum of American Illustration. (Edward) Buk Ulreich died in SanFrancisco.
