David Hazelwood (1932-1994) was a self taught artist, working in mixed media, acrylic, collage and photo-lithography. He was born and lived in Ipswich, Suffolk and took part in many group shows including Royal Academy from 1977, the Free Painters and Sculptors, and International Art Fairs from 1985 including Basel, Madrid, Chicago, and Cologne. David Hazelwood held solo shows at Bedford College 1970, Frankfurt Art Fair 1991, and at Galerie Peerlings, Krefeld 1993. His work is held in public collections including The Victoria & Albert Museum, the Department of the Environment, Camden Arts Centre and a number of provincial galleries. In 1995 a tribute show was held at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich.
