David Heylin Rudd (1894-1963) was a Scottish printmaker and painter. He was born in Glasgow and studied art in Glasgow and on the continent. Heylin Rudd exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, Glasgow Institute 1928-31 and at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. He was noted especially as a wood engraver and etcher and favoured animals, landscapes and portraits as his subject matter. In addition he was assistant curator in charge of the print room for Glasgow Art Gallery. He lived in Glasgow for many years and died at Pollockshields.
