Dolf Rieser, RE (1898-1983) was born in King William's Town, South Africa.   He moved to Paris in 1928 and worked there with S W Hayter and Joseph Hecht at Atelier 17 through the 1930.  In 1940 he settled in England and later became a  full member of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers.  Rieser's work was shown internationally and he is represented in a number of important public collections.
