Edward H Hughes (1923-1991) was a well-known printmaker, illustrator and designer. He was born in East London.  Hughes studied at St Martin’s School of Art after the war and then at the Royal College of Art under Edward Bawden.  He exhibited at the Royal Academy and examples of his work are held in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum. Edward Hughes lived at East Farleigh in Kent for many years.
