Title: Playing Games on Blackheath Common

Description: An original work in mixed media on paper (pastel, watercolour and charcoal) of people enjoying their leisure time on Blackheath Common. The work is likely to date from the 1960s when the artist was living in Blackheath. It appears to be unsigned but has the Fairhurst Gallery label verso (then of 291, New Kings Road, London SW6) which has been titled by Mrs Eleanor Christie and signed in ink by her. This work was included in the Fyffe Christie retrospective exhibition held by the Fairhurst Gallery in 1988. The more recent provenance is the personal collection of Mrs Christie, who was a sculptor. The work is in very good original condition but has not been examined out of its more modern frame which is also in good condition.

Size: About 7.8 x 11.2 inches image size and about 18.0 x 21.0 inches framed size
