Title: Mask of the Dreamer - an original pencil signed etching with aquatint from the Alchemic Images suite 1966
Description: This work is signed by the artist in pencil lower right, dated 1966, titled, and numbered 24 from a small edition of 30 prints, etched at a time when the artist had her studio at Steyning in West Sussex. It is printed on J Green watermarked paper and was due to be published by Editions Alecto but was not distributed by them due to the financial crisis of 1967. This particular example was held in the collection of the late Sir George Pollock, Bt a noted photographer and art collector. By way of explanation the masked dreamer depicted is a self portrait of the artist and the arrow represents a male symbol. The etching is in very good condition save for some staining to the back of the sheet from old framing...
