Lesley Duxbury (born 1950, Accrington, England) is a well-known artist using both traditional and contemporary print media, photography and printmaking in her work. She studied art at Lancaster College of Art and at Maidstone College of Art (1970-73). Lesley Duxbury exhibited at the Royal Academy 1973-87, during which period she was based in Maidstone, then Highbury and subsequently in Putney. Her exhibited work comprised etchings, mezzotints and lithographs. In 1983 she settled permanently in Australia and she is currently an Emeritus Professor in the School of Art at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. During 1996 she held the VACB Overseas residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and during 2015 was artist in residence in North Iceland. Her work is held in the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, and in other public collections in Australia.
