Marek Zulawski (1908-1985) was a well known painter, printmaker, illustrator, muralist and maker of works in collage. He was born in Rome of Polish parents, and settled in London in about 1936. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, AIA, and extensively in Poland and the United States. His work is held in numerous public collections internationally, including in the UK in Manchester City Art Galleries, University of Aberystwyth and Leicestershire County Council. He normally signed his work ‘Marek’.
