Ronald Weldon (1925-1994) was a painter of landscapes, coastal subjects and still lifes mainly in oil. He was born in Bournemouth and studied art at Bournemouth School of Art and then at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in the mid 1950s. He found his subjects in the West Country and in France and was married at one time to the novelist Fay Weldon.  The Paisnel  Gallery of London SW1 held a show of his work in 1998. Ron Weldon lived at East Compton near Shepton Mallet in Somerset.
