Title: 'Spring' - an original pencil signed wood engraving; framed
Description: This original wood engraving is pencil signed by the artist lower right. It is annotated 'first proof', titled 'Spring' and dated 1950. There is an old label verso with the original price of £3-17-6 (as pictured). The print is housed in its original frame and as is quite usual in such instances there is some 'mount burn' where the paper abuts the acidic mount. The mount has some staining at upper left but the image is in good condition and does not appear to have been laid down. We also have another scarce engraving by this artist...
