Title: 'Street Scene, France' - an original signed oil painting on canvas; framed 

Description: This original oil painting is signed by the artist in full lower right and on the reverse of the canvas it is dated July 1955. There is also a faint inscription verso which reads simply 'Chelsea'. That probably relates to where it was to be exhibited, possibly at the Chelsea Arts Club or at one of the art galleries in that part of London. It is numbered '6' suggesting that this was to be one work in an exhibition. The painting is in generally good condition for its age. We have had it cleaned professionally and re-varnished. The old frame is probably the original and it has quite a lot of wear and tear.

Size: About 16 x 20 inches canvas size and about 20.2 x 24.2 inches in its frame
