Ronald Benham: Ronald Benham, RBA, NEAC (1915-1993) was a well known painter in oils of portraits, figure subjects and landscapes; he also produced lithographs. He was born in London and studied at Hornsey School of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1959, and with the New English Art Club (elected a member 1972), the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, and the Royal Society of British Artists (elected a member 1977).  He taught at Epsom School of Art and lived for many years at Cheam in Surrey.
