Anthony Benjamin: Anthony Benjamin (1931-2002) was primarily a painter and printmaker of abstracts. Born in Boarhunt, Hampshire he studied art at the Regent Street Polytechnic, London and then in the Paris studio of Fernand Leger 1951. In 1955 he settled in St Ives, Cornwall and later studied with S W Hayter at the famous Atelier 17 in Paris 1958-59. He exhibited widely including a one man show at the Newlyn Art Gallery 1958 and at Gimpel Fils.  His work is held internationally, including numerous examples in the Tate Gallery, the British Council, Government Art Collection, and MOMA New York.
