Minnie Fry: Minnie Fry (born 1933) is a well known painter and printmaker of semi abstracted landscapes. She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and came to prominence with an exhibition in 1958 at The New Vision Centre Gallery in London which was run by Denis Bowen, Halima Nalecz and Frank Avray Wilson. The gallery had a policy of promoting the work of non figurative artists, with special emphasis placed on work by artists from the Commonwealth.  Minnie Fry subsequently studied printmaking at Morley College in London SE1 and has exhibited extensively.  She has also won an Aya Broughton painting prize at the Westminster Gallery.
