Jim Bird: Bird was born at Bloxwich and went to live as an artist in Spain in 1962.  He moved to the United States in 1980, and became a good friend of the painter Robert Motherwell, with whom he shared joint exhibitions.

Jim Bird has had over 100 one man shows and has exhibited widely throughout the world, including at Galeria Joan Prats, Barcelona; The Art Package, Chicago; Redfern Gallery, London; River Gallery, Westport; Goldman-Kraft Gallery, Chicago; Lucy Berman Gallery, Palo Alto; and Gallery Art Alpha, Tokyo; and he has also shown at the Basel Art Fair and the International Print Biennale etc.
