Guy Malet: Guy Seymour Warre Malet, RBA, SWE (1900-73) was known primarily as a landscape and figure engraver but he was also an accomplished painter in oil and watercolour.  He studied at the London School of Art under Eastman and Hassall, and at the Grosvenor School of Art under Iain MacNab. Malet exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Society of Wood Engravers, New English Art Club, in the provinces and abroad. He was elected RBA 1936, SWE 1947, Coventry and Warwick Society of Artists 1945, and a member of the Society of Artist Printmakers. His work is represented in several public colĀ­lections. Malet lived in London, then at Leamington Spa during the war years, later at Seaford in Sussex and finally in Ditchling.
