Shipping and Return Policy..

RetroSixty is usually able to offer world wide shipping on most of our products. For inland shipping (United Kingdom mainland) we use Royal Mail Special Delivery for small items and DHL for larger items, although of course there are size and weight restrictions with these services.

We do list our shipping prices to the UK mainland on each item, although overseas customers will need to email us for a quote.  Shipping of framed art and smaller items to the United States and Canada is via DHL or FedEx, normally £45 for up to 10 kilos volumetric weight and £70 up to 25 kilos volumetric weight.  Where items are relatively small, under £500 in value, and under 2 kilos with packaging then we can ship Royal Mail Airmail, International Signed For service, to most overseas destinations at a much more modest shipping cost.

We can offer a personal delivery service within a 100 mile radius of Worthing, West Sussex for an agreed price (includes Greater London and all of the South East). A same day service may be possible, and distance can be extended at extra cost by arrangement with the customer. Some of the larger and heavier items such as tables, desks, large chairs etc are only available for collection or an agreed delivery from ourselves or specialist carriers. Typically we can deliver a large armchair to Greater London for £35, or a set of dining / office chairs for the same price.  Deliveries to the North of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland would cost more due to the additional distance involved, but our specialist carriers offer a first class service to these areas at highly competitive prices. We make regular deliveries to Belgium and The Netherlands at very reasonable cost. If you need a quote on any item please give us a call or email.

Please note that in the event of goods not being required by the customer on delivery, we will still have to charge for the delivery service provided.  For items sent by mail or other courier, then the customer is responsible for shipping costs in both directions should he/she decide to return the item(s) for a refund.

We extend a special welcome to customers from Australia, which is now our second largest market globally (after the UK). We successfully ship many of our smaller items to Australia at reasonable cost.

RETURN POLICY

Items are guaranteed to be substantially as described by us (there may for example be minor discrepancies in dimensions and weight). Please bear in mind that as we sell vintage furniture, lighting, ceramics, paintings and prints a substantial number of items offered for sale will be in used condition.  In regard to used items some wear and tear must be expected. We are of course more than happy to provide additional photographs and more detailed condition reports on request prior to an order being placed for an item(s).  We deal with each order for vintage items on a personalised basis, with each customer being treated as a valued individual, as we want you the consumer to be fully comfortable with the purchase before submitting a confirmed order to us.

The new items we offer for sale are listed only in the Contemporary section of our site.  New items which may be purchased on this site electronically without prior contact with us are subject to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Under these regulations consumers have a period of seven working days after the date of delivery to cancel the contract and to get their money back on satisfactory return of the goods.  We require the consumer to pay for the cost of return of the item, which needs to be by either the same or comparable delivery service to the one we have used.  We are available to deal with any cancellations under these regulations seven days per week.  Items must be returned to us in the condition in which they were sent by us and new items must be returned with the original packaging intact.  Your statutory rights are not affected.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If any new or vintage item(s) we ship independently to you (i.e. we do not pass over the goods 'face to face'), does not meet our description please contact us either by email or letter within 7 days from the date of receipt of the goods.  We will be more than happy to discuss the issue with you fully in order to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
