John Humphrey Spender: Humphrey Spender was an internationally known photographer, painter and printmaker, and brother to the poet Stephen Spender.  He had one man painting shows at the Redfern and Leicester Galleries, and the New Art Centre, and his work is held in the Victoria & Albert Museum, and many other public collections. Impressions of the present print, 'Reedy Pool, Essex' are held by the Tate Gallery and also the Government Art Collection.
