Description: This oil on board is by Edward J Morss, ROI, RBA (born 1906). It is in its original frame and still has its old exhibition label verso.  The oil is signed and is in excellent original condition.   

Morss painted a number of beach scenes on the coast of northern France and this example is very probably one from that series. He lived in Chiswick, west London and was a full member of the prestigious Royal Institute of Oil Painters and of the Royal Society of British Artists...
