Description: This unframed painting came from the artist's studio sale, and we believe this work to date from circa the late 1940s, at which time he was studying at the Royal College of Art under John Minton and others.  It shows a strong modernist influence, not present in most of Crowther's later work.  The painting is not signed; the image size is 9.3 x 6 inches.  Crowther became a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and exhibited at the Royal Academy, etc...
