Description:  Robert Tavener was one of the most respected and collected British printmakers of the second half of the 20th century.  He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy and was a senior Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers.  His work is held in a number of public collections.

This linocut is pencil signed, titled and is inscribed 'Artist's Proof'.  The image measures about 17 x 23 inches and the work is in very good condition.  It dates to circa 1970 and is housed in a high quality wooden frame, with non-reflective glass, made by the well known Gentle Gallery of Steyning, Sussex...
