Title: 'WAITING FOR BUSINESS' (Signed watercolour - framed)

Description:  Clifford Hall was a very fine painter of portraits, nudes, and town scenes, especially London.  He was also known in the period from say 1952 to the mid 1960s for his paintings of street women, usually observed in either Belgium or the Netherlands.  His work is held in many public collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Imperial War Museum.

This watercolour is signed and dated 1966, and measures about 12 x 10.2 inches, excluding its rather simple frame.  It features ladies of the night waiting for clients, and is in good condition save for some minor ruckling to the paper...
