Title: 'GREY DAY, CHICHESTER ESTUARY, SUSSEX' - signed oil on canvas

Description:  Ronald Ossory Dunlop, RA, LG, NEAC, RBA (1874-1973) was born in Dublin but lived for most of his life in England, latterly at Barnham in West Sussex, close to Chichester Harbour.  He achieved fame in his lifetime, having been elected a full member of the Royal Academy in 1950, and his work is instantly recognisable. Dunlop is represented in many public and private collections throughout the world.

This painting measures 16 x 20 inches and is housed in a fine quality frame which was made for it circa the early 1950s.  It has the label of Alex Fraser of Vancouver, who was Dunlop's dealer in London and again later in Canada once Fraser had emigrated in the 1940s.  Dunlop spent quite some time in Canada and exhibited regularly with Alex Fraser.  The authenticity of the painting is guaranteed without reservation.  It is in fine original condition...
