Artist: Peter Arthur Brannan, RBA (1926-1994)

Title: 'A Day by the Sea' (signed oil on board - framed)

Description: Peter Brannan studied at Grimsby School of Art and later at Leicester College of Art 1951-52. His Brother was Noel Brannan (1921-2001).  Peter exhibited at the Royal Academy, New English Art Club, and at the Royal Society of British Artists, to which body he was elected in 1960.  He lived at Newark and later in Lincoln.

This oil on board is signed and dated 1970, and was shown at the Trafford Gallery in Mount Street. London W1, who held solo exhibitions of Peter Brannan's work. The image measures 24 x 30 inches.  Although the location is not indicated, we think this is most probably a view of a beach on the East Coast of England.  Both the painting and the frame are in good condition.
