Artist: MARJORIE MOSTYN, RCamA, SWA (1893-1979)

Title: 'BOY AND GIRL WITH THEIR GINGER CAT' (signed oil on canvas - framed)

Description: Marjorie Mostyn is well known as an artist mainly in oils of flowers, portraits and interiors, and she was also an accomplished landscape painter.  The daughter of Tom Mostyn, ROI, Marjorie was married to the painter Leonard Fuller.  She studied at St John's Wood Art School and at the Royal Academy Schools 1912-1915. 

The present painting measures 30 x 25 inches image size, and it is housed in a plain wooden frame.  The painting is in good original condition, and it is signed and dated 1950 lower right.  We are not sure who the sitters are but it seems likely they were connected to the artist's family as they appear in another very similar oil also from 1950, the link to which is given below...
