Description: A Scandinavian black lacquered beech rocking chair circa the 1960s produced by the well known Swedish company Gemla.  The seat is covered in the original dark freen flecked fabric, which matches the material on the suspended headrest.  The fabric is in good condition although will need light cleaning.  The frame of the chair is structurally sound and it is in good vintage condition, with some minor chips to the black lacquer consistent with age and light use.

The chair measures at rest about 45.5 inches floor to top, and has the original makers sticker (as pictured) still attached to the frame.  The Gemla rocking chairs were sold in the UK mainly through Heal's...
