Title: 'Coastline' - an original signed watercolour, unframed

Description: Patrick Hall (1906-1992) was a painter of landscapes, river and coastal scenes in watercolour. Born in York he studied at York Art School and then at Northampton Art School. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, New English Art Club, Paris Salon etc, and held numerous one man shows including at the Waddington Galleries and the Marjorie Parr Gallery of Kings Road, Chelsea. His work is held in the Imperial War Museum, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of New Zealand, and in a number of provincial galleries in the UK.  He lived in london and later at Sellindge in Kent.

The present work is an original watercolour painting 'Coastline', which measures an impressive 21.5 x 29.5 inches image size. It is signed by the artist lower right and is likely to date to circa 1960. It has a 1960s framing label verso from Batoni Picture Framers of London SW3. The watercolour has its original painted slip and backboard but the frame and glass are missing. This is a fine typically 'wet' Patrick Hall watercolour in excellent condition...
