John Brunsdon
Title:
'The Park II' (an original signed etching with aquatint,
unframed )
Description:
John Brunsdon, RE, ARCA (born 1933) is widely acknowledged
as being one of Britain's finest contemporary printmakers.
His work is held in many public collections, including the
Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of
Modern Art, New York.
We have a group of seven large early etchings by John
Brunsdon, mainly abstract expressionist work from the 1960s.
The work from that period is vibrant and of course it is in
very limited supply today as the print runs were relatively
low. All of the etchings we have on offer are unframed
and all bar one are 'shrink-wrapped' and backed by board for
protection.
Today we are pleased to offer 'The Park II' an original
etching with aquatint which is dated 1970. The print
measures about 17.7 x 23.5 inches image size, and is pencil
signed, titled and numbered 9 from a small edition of 50.
The etching is in very good condition save for relatively
minor 'mount stain' outside the image where an old
mount abutted the margins of the image...
