Description: Helen Hale, ROI, NS, SWA (born 1936) is a well known painter and sculptor and member of several leading societies, including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters to which she was elected in 1973. She has exhibited also at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal West of England Academy, the Free Society of Painters and Sculptors etc, and has held many solo shows including at The Hawker Gallery. She was married to the artist Sydney Horne Shepherd (1909-1993) and lives in Sussex.

The present work is an original drawing on paper of a young model in the studio, in mixed media (mainly charcoal), measuring about 21.5 x 14.5 inches image size and about 29.5 x 22 inches in its modern gold coloured frame.
