Title: 'Small boat at night'  (an original signed lithograph - mounted but unframed)

Description: Wally Elenbaas (1912-2008) was a well known Dutch printmaker, photographer and artist in mosaic. He was born in Rotterdam and began his artistic career as a photographer. After the War he started making lithographs and by 1970 had turned his attention to screen printing. Elenbaas was married to the photographer Ester Hartog (1905-1998) and his work is represented in several collections in Holland. In 2006 he was honoured to be awarded the medal of the City of Rotterdam.

The present work is an original lithograph, mounted but unframed, pencil signed and dated (19)65 lower right and numbered 3 from an edition of 100 lithographs lower left. The print is in good original condition. The light grey coloured mount appears to have been added in the 1960s and has some losses at one corner...
