Title: 'Yacht Club, Salcombe' - an original oil painting on canvas, framed

Description: Eric Ward (born 1945) is a well known painter mainly in oils of West Country harbour and coastal scenes, figure subjects and interiors. He was born at St Ives in Cornwall and worked as a fisherman until 1985 when he became St. Ives Harbour Master. Eric Ward started painting in 1987 and he soon became very successful, his work being exhibited in many galleries in the South-West, in other parts of the UK and overseas. He has appeared on TV programmes made by BBC2 and in 2003 Halsgrove published a large format book including over 100 paintings in full colour titled 'Eric Ward's St. Ives: From His Studio and Beyond'. His work is held in several public collections, including Penlee House Museum, Penzance.

The present work is an original oil painting on canvas measuring 12 x 16 inches image size. It is signed lower right, has the artist's label verso giving the title as 'Yacht Club, Salcombe' (Devon), and is housed in an attractive contemporary frame. The painting is in very good condition and although the frame has some wear and tear it is 'ready to hang'...
