Description:  In 1963 Poul Kjærholm furnished the City Hall in the Danish town of Fredericia. Among the furniture he specially designed a very large marble tray which is 30 x 60 x 60 cm and weighs a massive 250 kg, today made to special order only.

Later that year, due to the popularity of the original, Kjærholm designed a smaller version in granite weighing 3 kg for use in individual households. Granite being a more enduring material enables a wider variety of uses than the larger version...
