Michael Stokoe: Michael Stokoe (born 1933, London) is a painter, printmaker and teacher. He studied at St Martin's School of Art 1953-57 and in the 1960s was influenced by American abstract artists of that period. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1960, also at Royal Institute of Oil Painters, John Moores Liverpool shows, etc. He was a member of the Printmakers' Council and has work in a number of public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Manchester City Art Galleries and Leeds City Art Gallery.
