Wendy Taylor CBE:
Wendy Taylor, CBE, FRBS, LG (born 1945, Stamford,
Lincolnshire) is an important British sculptor, best
known for her original permanent sculptures on public
display such as 'Timepiece' near Tower Bridge;
'Jester' at Emmanuel College, Cambidge; 'Armillary
Sundial' at the Roundacre Scheme; 'Rope Circle' at
Hermitage Waterside East London; 'Millenium Fountain' at
New River Loop of the Thames; and 'Memorial to the
Civilians of East London 1939-1945' at the Hermitage
Memorial Garden Wapping to name but a few. She studied
at St Martin's School of Art 1961-66 and had her first
solo show at the Axiom Gallery in 1966. Wendy Taylor has
an international reputation and lives in London.
