Harry Walton: Harry Walton (1920-2009) was a figurative and abstract painter based in Leicestershire.  He enrolled at Leicester College of Art after the Second World War but found that the teaching methods did not suit his approach to art and therefore was mainly self taught.

He exhibited widely throughout the UK from the early 1950s to the late 1980s always searching for new techniques and subjects. In the early 1960s he became interested in Marilyn Monroe as a key subject for his work and he produced many images of this iconic actress. From the 1990s he produced a series of eighty large scale paintings of the Holocaust, which were shown at the Holocaust Centre.
