Designer: Ole Wanscher (1903-1985)

Wanscher was a student of Kaare Klint, and later took over from him as Professor at the Furniture School at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen.

Much like his tutor, Wanscher was interested in classical and Egyptian furniture and this interest can be spotted in his designs.

Most of Wanscher's vast collection was produced by cabinet maker A.J. Iversen. However, he also designed furniture for France & Daverkosen, Willy Beck,  Rud Rasmussen, France & Son, P. Jeppesen Møbelfabrik, Fritz Hansen and more...
