Pamela Rex (1929-2007) was a painter and printmaker with a long association with the city of Leeds. She spent her younger years in southern Africa and studied art and design at Leeds College of Art under Harry Thubron from 1959-1964. From 1970 she taught evening classes at Leeds College of Art (then known as the Jacob Kramer College). Although she held a number of solo shows during her working life the most significant exhibition of her paintings, prints and books was a held as a tribute to her in November 2008 at Leeds College of Art & Design, in Vernon Street, Leeds.
