Roy Ray (born 1936) is a well-known painter, draughtsman, printmaker and teacher, based in West Cornwall. He was born in Feltham, Middlesex, and settled in Cornwall in 1974, becoming Principal of the St Ives School of Painting in 1977. He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists, the Penwith Society of Arts, the St Ives Society of Artists and a founder member of the Portmeor Printmakers. His first one man show was at the Salt House Gallery, St Ives, in 1981.
