Tom Phillips, CBE, RA (born 1937) is one of Britain's best known painters, printmakers and sculptors.  Born in London in 1937, he studied art at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts 1961-63.  He has exhibited at many major shows internationally and is represented in numerous public collections and home and abroad, including the Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester, Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, the National Museum of Wales, and the National Gallery of Australia. He was elected a full member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers 1987 and of the Royal Academy 1989, and exhibits regularly with the Flowers East Gallery.
